VA Policy

I am a veteran of the Viet Nam Era and had to had surgery at the Miami VA for Bladder Cancer in 2010. As of January 2012, the Miami VA is taking $190.00 out of my Social Security each month to pay for the surgery.  I had requested that I pay a smaller amout, however the request went unnoticed.  I requested a Waiver of the chargees which was denied.  I am a 67 year old unemployed person who is barely making ends meet with my Social Security, and still the Government is not helping.  I served my country for four years during war time in Europe, and it seems as though I had done nothing for my country.  My phone calls are to no evail and my documentation sent has no meaning.
